Notes on registration within the Katalog plus
Information for University members and students of the University of Siegen
University members and students of the University of Siegen will only register via the Shibboleth interface with their already known ZIMT-ID and the corresponding password (e.g. as with moodle or the university mail account).
If you have probloms with logging in via Shibboleth or if you have forgotten your passwort, please contact the ZIMT.
The previous access data (UBSI number and password) have lost their validity as of August 1st 2022 and can no longer be used to log into the Katalog plus.
Please note: Giving your password to other persons, for enabling them to log into your user account, enables e.g. the access to your personal mail account.
You still need your library card or the activated USiCard for loaning media.
Information for non-university library users
Non-university library users have received a new access identifier (ZIMT ID) and an initial password by e-mail last year. Please save this access ID with the initial password!
Logging into the Katalog plus and to the account functions (account viewing, loan period extension, reservation, interlibrary loan order) will then be possible via the Shibboleth interface of the University of Siegen. Please change the assigned password to an individual password via the service page of the ZIMT.
The staff of the Central Services for users of the University Library can reset your password to the initial password if you forget the newly assigned password.
If you have problems using Shibboleth, if you do not receive an eMail or if you have forgotten your initial password, please contact the Central Services for users of the University Library or one of the circulation desks.
A new library card with the new identifier can be issued upon request.
