Guide to extend lending periods via your library account

All library locations will be closed on Whit Monday, May 25, 2026.
The Main Library AR will be closed on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, due to renovation work.

  • Directly on our homepage you will find an access to the library account within the Katalog plus.
     
  • Log in to your library account with your Zimt-ID and password via the University's Shibboleth interface.
     
  • Click on account section "Loans".
     
  • Choose between "Renew all" above the liste or "Renew" at the right side of the list.
     
  • All renewed titles will be confirmed with the new end of lending period in your library account / "Loans".
     
  • Please note the following screen display, which also notes rejected loan period extensions.
     
  • In the case of reservation by an other user the lending period will be shortended and you will be informed.
